Kurt Soderling has enjoyed a career as a director of second unit and aerial photography in the feature film business for over 20 years.

His accomplishments in cinematography are easily seen through over 100 film credits that include Independence Day, Seabiscuit, Armageddon, Titanic, Pearl Harbor, Men In Black and The Italian Job. Kurt made his feature film debut with 1994âs The River Wild under the tutelage of cinematographer, John Stephens. After working with such directors as Tony Scott, Jim Cameron, Mike Nichols, Barry Sonnenfeld, Curtis Hanson and Michael Bay, it is only fitting that Kurt parlay his talents into his own feature directing career.

Class of 83, the compelling documentary that follows an extraordinarily unique group of friends as they gather to heal from the devastating loss of two classmates in the September 11th tragedy, marks Kurt Soderling's Award Winning feature film directing debut.


Kurt recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from his alma mater, Chapman University, for his achievement in film and television. He resides in Orange County, California with his wife, Melinda, and their two children.
